We’re using the Hostinger web hosting package for our 4 different websites, and today, I’m going to share my experience with you. And I’ll also answer the common question, “How many websites can I host on Hostinger?”
Hostinger is the most popular web hosting provider worldwide, and it is well known for providing affordable web hosting solutions. For this reason, a large number of bloggers, small businesses, and agency owners start their websites with Hostinger.
They offer their user the ability to host up to 300+ websites on their web hosting package. But is this possible in real life?
In theory, yes, you can host 300+ websites on Hostinger’s web hosting package. However, in reality, it may not be the most practical or efficient solution for your websites.
Let me share my personal experience with Hostinger after using their web hosting services for over four years.
Here are the screenshots of the consumed resources data from the Hostinger dashboard for our six websites:
- Disk Usage: 7 GB out of 200 GB
- Inodes Usage: 1,83,533 out of 20,00,000
- CPU Usage: 1%
- Average Memory Usage: 826 MB out of 3072 MB
- Throughput (I/O) Usage: 574 KB/s out of 10,240 KB/s (Avg)
So, we can decide that for a single website, the resources consumed are as below:
- Disk Usage: 1.16 GB
- Inodes Usage: 30,588
- CPU Usage: 0.17%
- Memory Usage: 137 MB
- Throughput (I/O) usage: 95 KB/s
How Many Websites Can You Host on Premium Plan
The Premium plan is Hostinger’s most affordable web hosting package, at $2.99/month. This plan offers 100 websites, 100GB of storage, 4,00,000 inodes and many more.
Your Inodes consume (4,00,000÷30,588)= 13. So, You can host up to 13 medium websites on the Hostinger premium plan. After hosting 13 websites, your Inodes usage will exceed the plan’s limit.
If you want to host more than 13 websites, the Hostinger Premium plan is not suitable for you. You must upgrade to their Business plan.
How Many Websites Can You Host on Business Plan
The Business plan is Hostinger’s most popular plan, and it costs $3.99/month. Hostinger’s business plan offers 100 websites, 200GB of NVMe SSD storage, 6,00,000 Inodes, and many more.
So, let’s do the math again. Your Inodes consume (6,00,000÷30,588) = 19. Using Hostinger’s business plan, you can host up to 19 medium-sized websites.
But keep in mind that these numbers are just estimates and may vary depending on your website’s size and traffic. It’s always recommended to regularly monitor your resource usage and upgrade plans accordingly if needed.
How Many Websites Can You Host on Cloud Startup Plan
Cloud Startup is the premium-level web hosting package from Hostinger, and it comes at $9.99/month. Hostinger Cloud Startup pacakge offers 300 websites, 200GB of NVMe SSD storage, 20,00,000 Inodes and more.
So, according to the Inode calculation formula, you can host up to 65 medium-sized websites on Hostinger’s Cloud Startup plan. But again, this number is just an estimate and may vary based on your individual website needs.
How Many Websites Can You Host on Cloud Enterprise Plan
Cloud Enterprise is Hostinger’s most advanced and expensive web hosting package, priced at $29.99/month. This plan offers 300 websites, 300GB of NVMe SSD storage, 40,00,000 Inodes, and more.
Based on the previous calculations, you can potentially host up to 130 medium-sized websites on this plan. However, it’s important to note that the number of websites you can host may also depend on other factors, such as traffic and resource usage.
Note: Hostinger has a bad reputation for slow-loading issues. After adding up to 5 websites to our hosting account, we noticed a slight decrease in loading speed for some of our websites.
